It has been 9 months since Ginger’s Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) diagnoses but in September, her health took a turn for the worse.  During her follow up with the Cardiologist she developed a leaky heart valve, pulmonary hypertension, and on top of that a clot near her heart. It has been a tough journey ever since.  Thankfully, due to modern medicine we have been able to stabilize her and maintain a good balance with her.

Since Ginger was about 6 years old, I have taken her to the ALL BREED HEALTH CLINIC in Tinton Falls, sponsored by the MID-JERSEY LABRADOR RETRIEVER CLUB, INC.  I decided to start taking her to the clinic yearly to get her eyes and heart checked. I was looking for easy to make dog treat recipes on Pinterest  when I came across a  pin that had a picture of baby food and I thought that was pretty interesting.  This came from the My Life Cookbook website and I did change the recipe a bit since I was using silicone bake-ware and not cookie cutters as the original recipe suggested.
