Dog Parks in New Jersey

Dog Parks in New Jersey

Dog Parks allow our pets to get their daily exercise and play off leash in a controlled environment. It also allows dogs to work on their socialization skills. There are some rules one should follow when taking their dog to the dog park.

First rule when it comes to taking your dog anywhere is to make sure that they are wearing a collar and that all their information on their tags are up to date. Your dog should also be up to date on their vaccinations, as well as flea/tick treatments. This is not only to protect your dog, but the others that attend the park as well.

Make sure you keep your dog’s leash on until you get them into the enclosed area. You certainly do not want your dog running off leash when he’s not supposed to or escape if he’s not in the enclosure. Some parks have enclosures for both small and large so make sure you place them in the proper one. Please clean up after your dog. This is common courtesy and helps protect dogs from diseases.
